The Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 is a central Act to regulate import, manufacture, sale and distribution of the Drugs and Cosmetics in India. The primary objective of the Act is to ensure that all drugs and cosmetics used in the country are safe, effective and conform to standard quality.
